Located between the neighborhoods of Stiep, Pituba and Jardim Armação, Costa Azul is predominantly residential and is very close to Salvador's seafront. These are buildings and houses that create the neighborhood's urban setting and provide access to the city's main shopping and leisure spots. It encompasses the Thales de Azevedo State Library and, in the area of education, it houses three public schools, as well as several private secondary and higher education schools.
Leisure, education, sport, commerce and housing are some of the elements that the neighborhood offers. It has football courts, amphitheater, cycle path and bicycle rental service. The most urban leisure is the restaurants and bars that permeate the corners and streets.
